Throughout the third quarter of 2022, the top social networking applications on iOS in Malta exhibited diverse trends in downloads and revenue. Here’s a closer look at the performance of BeReal: Photos & Friends Daily, WhatsApp Messenger, Messenger, Facebook, and Telegram Messenger.

BeReal: Photos & Friends Daily saw a significant increase in weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Starting at 164 downloads in late June, the app experienced a peak of 911 downloads in the week of August 29. Despite a slight decline towards the end of September, the app maintained an upward trend overall.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady download rate, fluctuating around the 300-365 range, with a notable peak of 383 downloads in the week of September 19. Weekly revenue for WhatsApp Messenger started at $13 in late June and saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at $9.

Messenger exhibited consistent weekly downloads, with numbers ranging from 234 to 301. The highest download count was observed in the first week of August with 301 downloads. The app did not generate any revenue during this period.

Facebook experienced a mix of fluctuations in both downloads and revenue. Downloads ranged between 219 and 305, with a peak of 305 downloads in the week of August 22. Revenue saw several peaks and troughs, starting at $118 in late June, and ending the quarter with a high of $120 in the final week of September.

Telegram Messenger had a relatively stable download rate, remaining around the 220-258 range. Revenue, however, showed significant peaks, particularly in the weeks of July 18 and September 19 with $73 and $142 respectively.
